Access Report Generator V2
Navigate to the Beta tab in Hiro.
Select Report Generator V2 (first item).
A preloaded Hiro Monthly Report template will automatically load, including month-over-month and year-over-year comparisons.
Choose, Import, or Save a Template
Click the three-dot menu (…) in the upper right.
Select Import Template to choose from existing Hiro report templates, including:
Standard Monthly Report (includes month-over-month and year-over-year comparison)
Monthly Report (monthly summary without YoY comparison)
Once imported, all available templates will appear under Current Report, and you can choose the one you want to use for that client.
If you customize a report and want to reuse it in the future, you can also save your version as a new template. To do this, open the three-dot menu (…) again and select Save Report as New Template.
This allows you to build and maintain your own reusable reporting templates that can be quickly applied across multiple clients.
Set Reporting Periods
You can customize the time frames used throughout the report:
Current period
Comparison periods (example: previous month or previous year)
Over-time chart period (used for trend visualizations)
These can be modified using the dropdown controls at the top of the builder.
Manage Slides
You can tailor the report layout to your liking:
Delete slides that are not needed.
Reorder slides by using the right and left arrow buttons to place them into your preferred order.
Add slides if you want to report on additional information.
Add a New Slide
Click Add Slide.
Select a Layout Type.
Add Components to a Slide
Once your layout is selected, click Add within any block to insert reporting elements.
Component Types
Statistics
Displays single metric values or key performance indicators (KPIs), such as revenue, orders, LTV, conversion rate, or subscriber count.
Best for: Top-level insights and quick reference metrics
Charts
Used to visualize trends or comparisons over time or across segments.
Best for: Pattern recognition, directional change, and comparative reporting.
Tables
Displays structured raw metrics in a scannable and sortable format.
Best for: Detailed performance lists, deliverability reporting, or comparing multiple data points side by side.
Add Notes and Commentary
You have two options for adding annotations to your slides:
Manually type into the Notes area to add your own commentary.
Use Generate AI Notes to automatically create a summary based on the selected reporting and comparison periods. You can also refine the output - just add direction or feedback, and it will regenerate notes to better match what you’re looking for.
Manage Overflow Content and Preview Format
If your notes make a slide too text-heavy and content begins cutting off or exceeding the layout, create an additional slide and continue your notes there.
You can also use the Hide UI toggle to preview how the slide will look in the final exported PDF without editor tools or visual elements.
Exporting Report and Scheduling
Exporting
Click Export and confirm that all slides you want to include are toggle enabled.
A PDF copy of your report will be emailed to you within 5-10 minutes to your inbox from [email protected]
Scheduling
Select Schedule Export on second tab.
Configure:
Report name
Recipients (single or multiple email addresses)
Time frame settings (current period and comparison logic)
Frequency (for example: monthly on a specific day)
Save the schedule. The report will be automatically delivered based on your defined cadence.
Make updates to the report if needed by clicking on the Edit link under Scheduled Exports.
