Where can I find the Custom Metric Tracker?
You’ll find it under:
Beta → Custom Metrics
If you don’t see it, contact us in Slack to get access.
What is this tool for?
This feature lets you:
Track any metric in Klaviyo (e.g., subscription started, lead submitted, etc.)
See how many of those events were attributed to Klaviyo
Understand the campaign vs. flow breakdown
(Optional) View the monetary value of attributed events
How do I set up a custom metric?
Go to the Custom Metric Tracker
Click to set up metrics
Search and select your desired metric (e.g., subscription started on Recharge)
Save it
🕐 Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your metrics to appear in the dashboard.
Will my data be backfilled?
Yes. Once your metric is saved, Hiro will backfill all historic data for that event from the first time it occurred.
What happens after setup?
Once your metric is live:
Select the metric from the dropdown
Use the “conversion value” toggle if the event has a monetary value (e.g., subscription revenue)
Choose the value key associated with that event (e.g., dollar_amount or similar)
What if my metric has no monetary value?
You’ll still get:
Total count of event occurrences
Count of those events attributed to Klaviyo
Campaign vs. flow breakdown of attributed events
This is perfect for tracking non-purchase metrics like:
Lead form submissions
Quiz completions
Free trial signups
What if my metric does have a monetary value?
If the event includes a conversion value (e.g., subscription_started), you’ll get:
Total value of those events
Value attributed to Klaviyo
Campaign vs. flow breakdown of attributed value
Example:
$15,000 in total new subscriptions
$6,000 attributed to Klaviyo
See how that $6K breaks down between campaigns and flows
What can I see in the Campaigns and Flows tab?
For each campaign or flow, you’ll see:
Event count (e.g., subscriptions started)
Attribution (how many were driven by that message)
Value (if conversion value is enabled)
This gives you line-by-line proof of how much each campaign or flow is contributing to specific business outcomes.
What if something’s not working?
If a metric isn’t behaving as expected — or you’d like to request support for a specific use case — just let us know in Slack. We’re actively improving this feature during beta.
